The SJSU SLIS ALASC chapter was recognized last night for innovation
in programming. At the Student Organization Recognition Banquet,
ALASC's Emerging Technologies Symposium received an honorable mention
for Outstanding New Program. This program was envisioned and carried
out by Paige (Fujisue) Mann, with support from ALASC, and its success
was documented in an article in September's Student American
Libraries Direct (http://maildogmanager.com/page.html?p=0000015Fu8vh8ydjsp1AOBjOcsTlwnZ1k
).

Congratulations are due to Paige and to all the ALASC officers and
students who helped with ETS, for the hard work they put into creating
such a great new program for SLIS students!
