[CALIBK12] Heck of a year

Hi everyone, 

Just feeling like touching base, I know I have not participated as much this year.  My condolences to the Fullerton Library Clerks, we (the PVUSD) went through the same process and lost all the elementary school Library Media Techs.  I guess the plan is close the library doors.  We went from 20 full time techs to 8.  I survived the "bumping" process, so I still work at my beloved Aptos Junior, but have felt the deep loss of the women and men I have worked with for years. I have been pretty depressed, but am now living in the moment and enjoying the students.


On top of all the rest of it, the server which held my library webpage crashed and burned. Ten years of web links gone....Oh well, we are looking at new beginnings.  I did find an archived page from 2007, but what I am mostly sad about is the hundreds of student book reviews that there is no retrieving.

 

It's been one heck of a year!
