Hi, All!
I just love the kinesthetic opportunities my Smart Board offers. Here's the
latest application: One of our Special Day Class teachers wanted her
students to know how to look up books using the Dewey. I told my Library
Practice students to set up a lesson based on the Dewey Decimal System card
game I use when I teach them the system at the beginning of the semester.
They learned how to set up text boxes that move using the Smart Board
software. So, each text box held a Dewey call number, each slide had about
5 text boxes and when the class arrived, one of my students taught them to
arrange the text boxes on each slide. It was so interactive that the
visiting students totally got the decimal part of the system and my students
had a great time learning this very intuitive software. Great fun!

I just moved into a new library complete with a Smart Board and Document
camera. I am wondering how folks have made use of them in the library aside
from using it as a projection screen.
Thanks for your help.
