[CALIBK12] Reading list for AP Environmental Science

Arctic Dreams is a great book!  How 'bout Collapse:  How Societies
Choose to Fail or Succeed by Jared Diamond.  It is even better than
Guns, Germs & Steel. It ought to be required reading.  How 'bout
Cadillac Desert: The American West and its Disappearing Water by Marc
Reisner.  The Geography of Nowhere.  Can't remember author. I have not
read this one, but it has been highly recommended.

Subject: [CALIBK12] Reading list for AP Environmental Science

 

I know that some of you out there will have some great suggestions. Our
school will be offering AP Environmental Science next fall and I am
working with the teacher on a couple  things. One of those things is a
summer reading list. I am looking for some suggestions  that might get
the students thinking on a higher level.  The teacher suggested Arctic
Dream by Gary Lopez (I had not heard of it). I have to admit I am not
well read in this area. If any of you have run across anything that
would be applicable I would love to hear from you.
