Thanks, all for your quick responses to...
Query:
Is any paraprofessional out there responsible for the library and computer lab programs?
What is your job title?

Elementary schools are Library Media Technician. Staff located at a high school that work under a Certificated Librarian are also Library Media Technician.
We at the middle school work alone and are designated Sr. Library Media Technician.

Heidi,
We do not have a certificated librarian, nor do we have computer teachers, in our K-8 district. Each school has a paraprofessional who is responsible for the library and 1 or 2 computer labs. Our title is Library Media Technician.

I'm a para and run the library with 2 assistants. I don't have anything to do with the computer lab, but oversee 36 computer work stations in the library (it is the only place where an entire class can be online at the same time). I monitor the school's student internet filter. Of course, everyone calls me the "librarian" (and I attempt to correct it when I can) but my official title is the same as yours.

Our elementaries are in charge of both. They are called Library Techs and they all have Library Tech certificates from the local community college. Our secondaries are staffed by professional Teacher Librarians.

Please share...we are looking at these job descriptions this spring as part of the Pacifica School District's strategic planning process for library/media centers and information technology (currently two separate areas of the overall strategic plan).
At the Pacifica School District, we currently call this paraprofessional position "Technology Program Aide." The pay scale is on a par with Instructional Aide, the range for which is $11.64 to $15.20 per hour (in our "second-from-the-lowest-funded-school-district-in-San-Mateo-County").
