We had a blood drive recently at our school, and the Red Cross brought
their own tables on wheels. We held it in the gym, though, not the
library!

This is a new one for me. It isn't as if we have never been closed for
testing and used as a jail for others. I thought that blood collections
came with a van to house the donors and take the blood away.
This is a health issue and should be addressed as such. No library is a
good spot for something that has blood attached. When someone has
surgery
and they give you the box to take home with anything to do with blood,
you
can't even throw the needles in the garbage. You have to take them back
to
the doctor's office for disposal. I can't believe that parents want
their
children to be in a place where you can't scrub it down totally to
destroy
any possible germs.
So, start with a parent or two, and pick one that is picky. This simply
isn't sanitary on any radar screen.
It doesn't even seem good to have it inside any part of the school!

sometimes stains on the carpet and the smell, and the fact that students
cannot use the library that day.
