[CALIBK12] Holding a blood drive in the library

For at least 12 years the ASB has scheduled the blood drive in the library and our library is carpeted. The blood bank does not allow us to touch anything and cleans up everything, including emptying the wastebaskets, and takes all medical waste with them. I have never had a spill or needles left behind.
They tried holding them in the gym, but that inconveniences the PE classes.
What makes her ill? I have noticed no smells associated with the activity. Is she sensitive to the sight of blood? Because my position was reduced to 80%, I am usually not there on blood drive day. When I was, I took the opportunity to catch up on book cataloging and processing.
Disclosure: Because I know of people who have needed blood, my bias is to support this activity.

Subject: [CALIBK12] Holding a blood drive in the library
My friend works in the high school library. For the last several years the ASB has held their blood drives in the library. It makes her so ill, she has to take to day off. Food and drink, coolers with blood, sometimes stains on the carpet and the smell, and the fact that students cannot use the library that day.
She is wondering if you can help her with logical arguments to have it held in the gym or MPR. She says that she can't find any Health Code to prevent the blood drive in the library.
Can you help her?
