[CALIBK12] Book Recommendations

Our sophomore teachers are reading Night, and doing  Holocaust research.  They are also reading To Kill a Mocking Bird, and doing research on prejudices and civil rights.

Our Sophomore English teacher would like to change the novel she is using for her class.  She is currently using Lord of the Flies.  She is looking for something that is culturally or historically significant.  Any suggestions?
