[CALIBK12] Query: high interest non fiction books?

Hey Kevin: How goes life at the Liberty Library? I've recently purchased some good biographies that the students have been enjoying:

*         Inside Out: Portrait of an Eating Disorder - Nadia Shivack (this is a graphic novel)

*         The Burn Journals - Brent Runyon

*         Smashed: Story of a Drunken Girlhood - Koren Zailckas

*         La Vida Loca: Gang Days in LA / Always Running - Luis J. Rodriguez

*         The Driver: My Dangerous Pursuit of Speed and Truth in the Outlaw Racing World - Alexander Roy

*         Fast Women: The Legendary Ladies of Racing - Todd McCarthy
We also have graphic novels on the life of Hannibal and King Arthur. I think your idea of [good, recent] career titles is excellent, as well. Have a great day, Kevin!

Our English department has been assigning non fiction books as part of their outside reading.
Does anyone have a list of non fiction books that would interest high school students?
True adventure, career, etc.
