Has anyone ever heard/used the Adopt-an-author program? I just received an email about it today, and although I hate to be skeptical, it sounds almost too good to be true. The email said that it is:
"a FREE non-profit nationwide reading program achieving unprecedented
success in exciting middle and high school students about reading."

and that they offer:
"A menu of books GUARANTEED to hook teens into reading.

+ FREE curriculum materials for teachers, including tests, quizzes,
vocabulary lists, projects, study guides...everything a teacher needs to
make their lives easier.

+ Interactive websites for each book featuring slideshows, animation,
and educational links.

+ DIRECT CONTACT with our authors via e-mail, classroom Q & As, or visits."

Just wondering if anyone has done this/looked into it, etc. I'm in the process of investigating the website.
thanks for any insights!
