[CALIBK12] Textbook adoption review form

Yesterday  I posted a link asking for feedback on an assessment form I cobbled together, but I realized it might be better to just include the criteria I cobbled together right in an email.  I would like to know if anyone can think of something I've missed OR has some simple form or check sheet that they would be willing to share.  Shown below is what I came up with so far.

For any areas that you are able to check, shown below, please mark your rating of 0, 1, or 2.  We appreciate your willingness to provide feedback to help us make our final selection of new curriculum.


2 = strong  or very good

1 = average

0 = weak or not present

___Well-organized: students and parents can find needed information for homework assignments


___Learning support:  vocabulary word definitions, skills needed for assignments are explained, glossary, index


___Stories and pictures appear to be appropriate to interest students.


___Stories show different age groups, ethnic/racial groups, religious groups, cultural beliefs, and respectful portrayals of disabled individuals

___Text includes lessons of positive achievements made by people from various racial, cultural, ethnic backgrounds


___Length of stories and other reading passages vary – some are short and could be read quickly, some are longer and could take several lessons to complete
