[CALIBK12] ALA conference - Californians Converge on Chicago this week

ALA's Saturday Opening General Session is in McCormick Place West, W-375.
Opening General Session is scheduled from 5:30-6:30PM
Try to get there early and head to left back corner to find California colleagues.

According to the program description: exhibits, keynote speakers, meetings, and programs will be held in the new McCormick Place West, 2301 S Lake Shore Drive.

  Who are the California librarians headed for Chicago for
  the ALA conference?  A number are planning to gather for a photo
  opportunity and group hug 15 minutes before the start of Saturday's General
  Session (3:15 back left corner).  Please join us!

  

  Who will be using what technology to keep in touch or report to those back
  home?  A big question is will wireless access will be available during
  conference programs.  I'll be experimenting with my new toy, a Samsung
  netbook.
