[CALIBK12] Road Trip novels-USA

I have a Fifth Grade teacher who is looking for a novel to read with her
class would fit into a unit related to a "road trip" across the United
States.

I have a great picture book to introduce the class to the unit, The
Journey of Oliver Woodman. I need a chapter book with a similar theme.
