[CALIBK12] HELP-Poem request

Dear Collective Brain,
 
I have a teacher looking for a poem that she believes she previously found in an anthology.  She thinks the title is "Meeting of the Mavericks", but she is sure the title includes the word "maverick" because she used to need to explain the meaning of a maverick.  
 
The poem talks about milkweeds and the author's sense of beauty of the weed over a rose, and that we only call them weeds as that is how we have defined them.
