[CALIBK12] General introduction to school libraries - Humor! - and now off topic :)

oohhh those times were so much fun for library techs..... I was one in  
the early 1970's and we had to type the catalog cards. After a whole  
day of typing them, they were reviewed by the head librarian.  If  
there was even ONE SPACE wrong, the whole card had to be re-done.   
THEN in the morning, before the library opened, everyone - techs,  
librarians, administrators - filed catalog cards. We were each given a  
drawer we were responsible for.  15 minutes before the opening of the  
library, we closed the catalog drawers and got ready for the day...
