[CALIBK12] Book of the Month

Good Morning!
 
I was asked today by my principal to put together a book of the month club for our students next school year to help encourage fun reading. I am super excited about this and wish I had thought of it myself! 
I was hoping to get some book suggestions from your collective brains to help get my brain rolling too.  
 
Background on our School:
9-12 high school, Mainly high level El students, most students read at high school level although our incoming freshmans are at lower levels.
 
I would like to get book ideas that appeal to both genders and are newer book titles if possible to help peak their interest. Classics are appreciated too!
