Dr. Krashen,
The San Ramon Valley Unified School District board voted to cut
secondary library media teachers to 50% tonight. This amounts to
$510,000.00--6 FTE. This will result in our middle and high school
libraries being closed 2.5 days per week. It means that one LMT will
be responsible for 2 schools, with no clerical help. Bottom
line...less access to library resources, and half the instruction.

There will be a parcel tax in our district which comes before the
voters in early May. If this passes budget cuts will be re-considered.
