Perhaps there should be an?Superintendent of the Year at the CSLA conference along with Principal of the Year.

It was so worrisome to hear a radio announcer pointing out that school librarians would be cut, so the news is out there. I do think that it would be great to honor the superintendents and principals who retained their teacher librarians and technicians through these cuts. We could give them a standing ovation, couldn't we? And if someone could bring those administrators to, with the school librarian, tell how it made a difference. They certainly deserve a large banner that says, "You are a winner!"?
