[CALIBK12] Alternative to Tangent?

Clarification: I'm posting the following query to help my librarian colleague at our high school, who currently doesn't subscribe to CALIBK12. Thanks for any input you may have.

My school runs three Tangent labs and pays quite a bit of money to Tangent each year for maintenance. In the past year the service has plummeted and as a result my school would like to investigate other providers of network systems and thin clients.  Does anyone have any experience with a company OTHER than Tangent?
