[CALIBK12] Book Fair Money

Help!  Ever since I started here, the Scholastic Book Fair has been an
issue between me and the ASB...the auditor, in particular.  I conduct the
fair, deposit money in the Friends of the Library ASB account, they cut a
check for Scholastic.  Simple, eh?  Well, the auditor wants me to be able
to account for every book, pencil and eraser sold.  At first it was for me
to tally.  Well, at lunch it is fast and furious...I can't do that!!! 
Then it was for me to inventory before and after.  Oh, yeah, I really have
the time for that!  I told the ASB that I'd rather not do a fair than to
have to do that.  Off list, please give me suggestions.  How do you do it?
 Where do you deposit the money?  Do you tally/inventory?  The students
love the book fairs.  I take the profit in the form of a voucher.  Then I
go to the warehouse and get books for students.  I, students and teachers
would be saddened to see this stop.
