Good point Patricia-I know on LM_Net most of the people posting will put
a subject line like this:

GEN: Another idea to help reduce posts      OR

TARGET/HS (or secondary): to target high school responses and using ELEM
or MID to highlight the group needing to respond or address.

HIT: to post a compilation

OT:  for items that are off topic (I see this most often on Yalsa-bk's
listserv)

TECH: for a technology item

If people would be as specific as possible in the subject that would
help in the quick delete...  when posting a book review it would greatly
help if in the subject or the first lines of the review an interest
level of the book could be listed.  As an elementary school librarian,
high school reviews are not important that I read as I am sure many HS
teachers are not interested in my book reviews....

I believe there is a digest setting.  That will reduce it greatly.  Or,
set up your email to put all the CALIB in a folder.  You can then have
them all lined up and if you look outlook, you can delete in groups.

I like all the info.  It answers questions we didn't know we had,
particularly newbies.  It doesn't take long to delete.

Hi everyone,
     There is so much information on this list that is valuable. If
people would only respond to the person who sends a query directly on
things that aren't relevant to the whole list, I could save so much
time. Then the person can post a hit. When I have an extra half-hour I
can use to read, instead I spend it deleting responses to messages I'm
not interested in. Then something else I have to do comes along, and I
haven't read, just deleted. Thanks for your consideration, Karen
