[CALIBK12] Query: Book by Dorothy Allison

Hi,
 
We have a high school that would like to add Bastard Out of Carolina by Dorothy Allison to their 12th grade AP supplementary reading list (this would mean an English teacher could have the whole class read it).  
 
Does anyone know if this book is on their school's supplementary reading list?  
 
Any thoughts about this book being placed on the supplementary list would also be appreciated.
