[CALIBK12] Flash drives

Our PTA sold them for $6.00 years ago. Then the kids started bringing in very inappropriate stuff on the flash drives. One was a virus that shut down every computer in one of our high schools. Now, our tech dept created a drive kids save to and is accessible from school and home with an ftp address. No problems since then. Kids are not allowed any device or e-mail. Of course, some teachers still let them sneak it in.

We constantly had students who couldn't save their work on the library computers--disk drives were disabled, e-mail projects didn't always open, etc. Some were even trying to use floppies!
So recently we ordered 2 packs (5 flash drives each) to try of HP USB Flash drives, 1 GB from Amazon.com. We are selling them to the students at our cost of $7.00 each. We checked with our head tech guru and he thought 1 GB would be good to start with. And the students are thrilled. (We also checked to make sure the student store wasn't selling them.)

I hate to rain on anybody's parade, but retail sales require a license and
resale number. You can ask for a donation, unless you have that in place.
Good luck
