Hi All,
Just a short note about two of my bios: WALKING THE ROAD TO FREEDOM  
(Sojourner Truth) and DEMANDING JUSTICE (Mary Ann Shadd Cary).

There is a wonderful and surprising connection between them! The  
artist who sculpted Sojourner Truth's bust, dedicated in Washington  
last week, is Artis Lane. Artis Lane is also the great-niece of Mary  
Ann Shadd Cary, and when I was researching MASC Ms. Lane granted me  
personal interviews (in her art-filled studio) and access to the Shadd  
family network.
