[CALIBK12] QUERY Elementary: open library schedule

We have an elementary school in our district that is becoming an
International Baccalaureate School.  The principal is interested in the
concept of a "non-fixed" or "open" library schedule in which teachers sign
up to use the library when they want to come instead of having a set time to
come every week.  Does anyone at the elementary level use such a schedule?
If so, please write me off-list and share how you do it and how you and your
teachers like it.  I would love to at least explore this idea.  Dr.
Loertscher was always encouraging us to try this many years ago when I took
his classes and I have always wanted to try.
Thanks everyone for their help with this question and the multitude of
questions I have posted to the list.
