[CALIBK12] building a diverse collection

Hmmph. I understand the importance of maintaining accreditation, but it irks me for WASC to make recommendations about library collections but not have an actual requirement for a school to have a librarian.

Do they think the books just appear on the shelves?   ;-)

Our school just finished our WASC accreditation process and one of our major recommendations was for the library to improve our collection in terms of its diversity and multi-cultural materials.
