I had a library project funded on DonorsChoose.org and it was great. I sent out notes in my holiday cards asking people to view my proposal.  The only downside is that the list of suppliers is pretty small. I was buying books and I had to get trade copies instead of library copies.  I saw the Follett rep at a vendor fair and suggested they try to get in there!
